Tope Oshin, the multiple award winning motion picture professional, has just released her new movie – Evol. The production which was a collaboration between Africa Magic and Sunbow Productions was screened on the Africa Magic Urban DSTV Channel 153 on Tuesday 28th February 2017.
Evol explores the possibility of starting a relationship after a one-night stand. Would a beach resort getaway amp things up for the strangers or not? The movie was written, produced and directed by Tope Oshin and stars Kenneth Okolie, Bayray Mcwizu, Toyin Abraham, Lami Philips, Uzor Arukwe and Shalewa Ashafa to name a few.
Tope Oshin’s other works include Journey to Self, Tinsel (TV Series), and the romantic Fifty (a film about four fifty year old women) that broke box office records upon release in December 2015. Also, her short film Ireti is a viable contender in the AMVCA 2017 Best Short Film category. In 2016 she directed the documentary Amaka’s Kin: The Women of Nollywood, to address issues facing female directors working in Nollywood.
The producer and casting director has referred to her next production at any point in time as her “best and most challenging”. With her track record, expecting less of Evol is out of the question. Catch the trailer below and let me know what you think in the comments.
