MultiChoice Nigeria, now a Canal+ company, is preparing to refresh its DStv and GOtv packages, promising subscribers more choice, greater flexibility and a simpler entertainment experience.
The upcoming changes will introduce refreshed packages across both platforms, with the new structure designed around how customers watch television, the content they enjoy and the level of control they want over their viewing experience.
While full details of the new DStv and GOtv packages in Nigeria have yet to be revealed, MultiChoice says more information will be announced in the coming weeks.
M-Net Movies Gets a Fresh Look
The package changes come alongside a shake-up of the M-Net Movies offering.
From September 17, 2026, DStv and GOtv subscribers will have access to three refreshed movie channels: M-Net Movies+, M-Net Stars and M-Net Legends.
The new structure consolidates the previous four movie channels into three distinct destinations, with the aim of making it easier for viewers to find the films they want to watch.
According to MultiChoice, the revamped offering responds to viewer demand for fewer repeats, fresher titles and a clearer viewing experience.
Movie fans can expect a mix of new releases, major international and local titles, familiar favourites and curated selections spanning different genres.
SuperSport Kick-Off and France 24 Join the Line-Up
Movies aren’t the only part of the DStv offering getting an update.
SuperSport Kick-Off is also joining the line-up, offering viewers a selection of football programming, while international news channel France 24 will provide global news, analysis and dedicated coverage of African current affairs.
The additions expand the range of sports, movies and news available to subscribers as MultiChoice continues to reshape its entertainment offering in Nigeria.
What Does the DStv and GOtv Refresh Mean for Subscribers?
For now, customers will have to wait for the complete package details to know exactly how the changes will affect their subscriptions.
MultiChoice says the broader refresh is intended to give Nigerian subscribers more choice, value and control, with packages that better reflect changing viewing habits.
The company is expected to reveal further details, including the composition of the refreshed DStv and GOtv packages, in the coming weeks.
For Nigerian subscribers, the big question will be how those changes translate into channels, package options and overall value once the full line-up is announced.
