Lagos brought the glamour as Nollywood stars and entertainment personalities stepped out for the premiere of One Gidi Night, a new Lagos-set crime thriller written, produced and directed by James Abinibi.
Held at Silverbird Galleria in Victoria Island and powered by The Macallan, the premiere blended film, fashion and entertainment as guests gathered to celebrate the latest addition to Nollywood’s crime-thriller slate.

One Dangerous Night in Lagos
Set against the restless energy of Lagos, One Gidi Night follows its characters through a single night where survival, desperation and ambition collide.
As unexpected events unfold, difficult choices push the characters into increasingly dangerous territory, with the city itself providing a fitting backdrop for the tension and unpredictability of the story.
With Abinibi taking on writing, producing and directing duties, the film places a distinctly Lagos story at the centre of its narrative.

Nollywood Stars Hit the Black Carpet
The One Gidi Night premiere attracted a strong lineup of Nollywood and entertainment personalities, including Gabriel Afolayan, Wunmi Toriola, Uzor Arukwe, Idia Aisien, Alibaba, Seyi Awolowo, Do2tun, Foluke Daramola, Deyemi Okanlawon and Julius Agwu.

The black carpet delivered plenty of memorable fashion moments, celebrity interactions and camera-ready appearances as guests turned out to support the film and its creative team.

The Macallan Brings a Premium Touch
The Macallan added to the evening’s hospitality experience, giving guests an opportunity to connect and celebrate over whisky as the premiere moved from the black carpet to the main event.
Its presence complemented an evening built around film, conversation and the excitement surrounding the unveiling of One Gidi Night.
More Than a Glamorous Night Out
Beyond the fashion and celebrity appearances, the premiere put the spotlight back where it belonged: on the filmmaking.
From its Lagos setting and crime-thriller premise to the cast and creative team bringing the story to screen, One Gidi Night arrives as another Nigerian production tapping into the possibilities of telling contemporary stories rooted in the realities, energy and unpredictability of Lagos.
And for one night in Victoria Island, the stars came out to give the film its moment.
