You will agree that Kunle Afolayan stands out as a true maestro of cinematic excellence and compelling storytelling. Known for producing award-winning movies like “Citation,” “October 1,” and “Anikulapo,” Afolayan has yet again graced us with a cinematic masterpiece to look forward to – “Ijogbon.”
Scheduled to hit the big screen, Netflix, on October 13th, 2023, “Ijogbon” promises to be another feather in Afolayan’s cap. Penned by the talented Tunde Babalola, this movie is set to captivate audiences with its enthralling narrative and stellar cast.

The narrative revolves around four teenagers, three boys and one girl, residing in a rural village in southwest Nigeria. Their lives take an unexpected turn when they stumble upon a bag containing diamonds. To them, it’s a stroke of luck, but little do they know that it marks the beginning of a harrowing predicament.
