Yvonne Jegede, a Nollywood actress, recently shared her experience with colleague Funke Akindele. They worked together on the film ‘A Tribe Called Judah.’
During an exclusive interview, Jegede praised Akindele’s filmmaking abilities, calling her a ‘crazy’ filmmaker who oversees every aspect of production on site.
According to Jegede, working with Akindele on this project expanded her understanding of filmmaking. She admires Akindele’s dedication and even refers to her as ‘Big Sis.’
Despite Akindele’s lively TV persona, Jegede revealed that she’s quite serious on set, displaying immense commitment and preparation. Akindele possesses a comprehensive understanding of all production facets and executes them exceptionally well.
In her exact words:
“Working with Funke on this new project took me to a whole new level of understanding and knowledge about filmmaking,” Jegede remarked.
She added:
“She is an insane filmmaker who perfectly orchestrates every part of the production. My respect for her has doubled; I can’t even address her without adding ‘Big Sis.”
“When you see her on TV, you would think she loves to have fun, play around, dance, and be goofy. That’s a lie! She’s a very serious person when she’s on set.”
“Her commitment and preparation before stepping onto the set are remarkable. She possesses an intricate understanding of every department, which she executes to perfection. To be honest, she’s exceptional.”
