After a drama-filled pilot season and a reunion that ended in hand-throwing, the elite ladies of Lagos are back for a second instalment of the Real Housewives of Lagos Show.
Already, for this new season, we have two episodes where all of the ladies except for Caroline Danjuma, are starring.
New characters such as Tania Omotayo, Faith Morey, and Dr. Rommel have also joined the cast.
Meet the new characters.
Faith Morey
Faith Morey is a typical upper-class IJGB (I Just Got Back). She recently relocated from the United States and is eager to get started, both professionally and socially. She has a thriving fashion business and is looking for all the help she can get.
Tania Omotayo
Tania is a wife, super mom and public figure, soft-spoken but vicious at confessionals.
She may already be caught in the ladies’ line of fire, maybe because she shares similar features with Caroline Danjuma. I don’t know yet, but here’s one thing I’m certain of, the ladies can as well disembark from all thoughts that Tania is an easy mark. If Tania of the confessionals ever comes out during the full moon, blood will flow, and it won’t be mine!
Rommel Asagwara
Dr.Rommel, is Faith’s buddy, and a certified physician in weight loss and cosmetic procedures. He seems to have a thought on all the ladies just by information shared by Faith, but we will see if he will form any more alliances with the ladies.
General Check-in
Chioma
Let’s start with Thanksgiving first. I know what I’m saying😂. So Iyabo arranged for Chioma and Tiannah to reconcile at Chioma’s yard sale fundraising event. If not, Chioma was ready to tell the 7.88 billion people in the whole world how Tiannah almost beat her up! Nawa.
Drum rolls! Chioma now has a new bobo too who needs but one thing to be perfect: learn that gift-giving is Chioma’s love language. I hope he learns fast—for his own good.
Tiannah ( Toyin Lawani)
After letting out her inner Hulk Hogan with Chioma and reconciling with her at Chioma’s fundraising yard sale event, Tiannah is still biding her time to get back into the ring. She is yet to find out though that everyone except Iyabo has an issue with her, so I am eagerly waiting to see how that pans out!
Faith
From reaching out to Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla for advice about her business, to getting stonewalled by Iyabo during the meeting then having her outfit mocked and stepped on, Faith has seen something with the Housewives.
But if there’s one thing you should know now about Faith, it is that she is not easily deterred. Faith is that person who is ready to get her feet in the door and could care less if she steps on some toes in the process. At the end of the day, to Faith, standing out whenever and wherever is all that matters.
Iyabo
So far so good, Iyabo’s three goals seem to be: suffocate all the singles with her relationship, step on as many toes (or tails) as she can, and just enjoy herself.
She’s succeeding on all three fronts. I pity anyone who crosses her.
Mariam
Mariam is everywhere and nowhere, if you know what I mean. She’s inviting everyone to her event, even when she’s not on a 100 with them. She says one thing, but her eyes say another. Nothing about her is doing it for me presently.
Laura
What can I say? Laura is back, suffering what I have called malignant wardrobe malfunction syndrome, “if I wasn’t poor”. Sigh.
I will say this sha: I hope she can keep up with the “bygones be bygones” energy she has employed now. She has refused to speak her mind now; if she gets called out for bringing anything up after making us believe she has gotten over them, I won’t hear justice for anybody oh.
PS: Can she cut back on the Faith-backside-licking campaign she’s on🙄? It’s tiring.
Dr. Rommel
As for Dr.Rommel, I’m still reserving my comment on what he brings to the table.
However, from the few exchanges between him and Faith Morey, with him cutting her off in almost all of their conversations, I’d say he’s just the perfect match for some of these housewives’ plasticity.
In my opinion, this dalliance can only end in two ways: either the housewives clip Rommel’s wings or they lose their mental health. May the best man win!
This is where I wrap it up on this week’s RHOL. I hope I have you all caught up.
