Following the exceptional success of her 2022 family dramedy-Battle on Buka Street- Funke Akindele has “announced” that she has another movie in the works. And with that undeniable rep? Of course we are excited.
On her Instagram page, the multiple award winning actress and filmmaker , donning a t-shirt that read “A Tribe of Judah”, she disclosed that the inscription is the title of the new movie she has baking in the oven .
Not much details have been revealed but scroll down for what we know now :
Barney Emodi is the one wearing the hat of the director of photography, Adeoluwa Owu(The Griot, Jagun Jagun) is co-directing it with Funke. The cast are rumoured to include Swanky Jerry, Genoveva Umeh, Timini Egbuson, Nosa Rex, Nse Ikpe-Etim. The release date is not certain but we know we are getting it in 2023. It is produced under FAAN-Funke Akindele Ayotunde Network
Considering that Battle on Buka Street came with Santa last year, we suspect that this may be case with A Tribe Called Judah too but then again, if it comes earlier, we would be the last ones to complain.
