Popular TV star and Africa’s youngest female producer to win an AMVCA (for Bound), Lilian Afegbai, has released the teaser for the first movie she’s producing this year – Double Strings. This will be the second movie out of her production company, EEP Entertainment.
Double Strings is directed by Toka McBaror – an award winning filmmaker, TV production consultant, and a major force in the Nigerian entertainment industry. McBaror is known for his work in Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons, Lotanna, and Kada River.
Written by Tunde Apolowo, Double Strings stars Annie Idibia, Osas Ighodaro, Lilian Afegbai, Layole Oyatogun, Ushbebe, Eddie Watson, Stephen Demian, Greg Ojefua, and Victor Decker.
“Synopsis: The movie follows the perfect life of Jenny who has a great job and a newly wedded husband. But her life is upended when she wakes up to the dead body of her husband. Facing accusation as the prime suspect in the murder, she starts to uncover dark secrets that puts her in the target of a criminal kingpin.”
No release date has been announced for the project.
