From the Lotanna-director, Toka McBaror, comes Kada River – a movie based on Southern Kaduna killings. Produced by Forinclay Ejeh, the movie revolves around two lovebirds -Jerome and Nadia- who hold on to their love in a bid to restore peace and save their tribes from an agelong rivalry.
The press conference for the movie held on the 4th of May, 2017, but no release date was announced. Toka McBaror, the CEO/CCO of Evolution Studio66, is known for Ikogosi and Lotanna (the most anticipated film of 2017). Ikogosi: The Last Turn On The Left is a 2015 romantic drama starring Ik Ogbonna and Chelsea Eze which got panned by most critics upon it’s release.
Shot in Kagoro and Kafanchan, Kada River is sponsored by the Big Church Foundation, Dr. Olakunle Churchhill. The film stars veteran actress Joke Silva (Battleground), Chris Okagbue (Hush, Tinsel), Fella Makafui, Keppy Ekpeyong Bassey (93 Days), Rachel Oniga (30 Days in Atlanta), Tony Goodman, Rakiya Attah, Bayray McNwizu (The Visit), Akume O. Akume, Olarotimi Fakunle, James Blessing, Oluchi Madubuko, and Hajara Yakubu.
