Mentally is a comedy-drama produced, written and directed by James Abinibi, a creative director and designer known for Honourable – a short film selected at the 3rd edition of the Masharaki African Film Festival.
The comedy centers on the life of Akin, who despite his mother’s warnings, decides to relocate to Lagos to meet Emeka (a former school mate). His first day experience in Lagos takes him on an eye opening journey which causes him to re-evaluate choices.
The movie stars Frank Donga (The Wedding Party), Toyin Abraham (Okafor’s Law), Adekunle Gold, Yaw, Jude Chukwuka, Kunle Afod, Woli Arole, Sunkanmi Omobolanle, Chris Okagbue (Lotanna), Erick Didie, Wale Waves, Koloman Prosper, Chima Raphael, comedian Etinosa Mudia, Big Brother Naija’s Somadina Anyama and a host of others.
The movie was co-produced By Patience Tiencepay Lawal and also stars Rotimi Salami – the Best Supporting Actor (Just Not Married) at the 2017 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award. No release date has been announced.
