Nigerian filmmaker and actress, Toyin Abraham, will be hitting the cinemas with Alakada Reloaded on the 26th May, 2017. The comedy stars A-list actors and other comedians like Odunlade Adekola (The Grudge), Kehinde Bankole, Woli Arole, Nedu OAP, Helen Paul, Lilian Esoro, Annie Idibia, Bidemi Kosoko, Liz Da Silva, Gabriel Afolayan (Okafor’s Law), and Comedian Ebiye.
Alakada Reloaded follows Yetunde (Toyin Abraham), a young girl from a poor background. As a result of her inferiority complex, she engages in making up stories and lying about her financial status in order to fit in with the crowd.
The synopsis brings Jenifa, Okon, Ada Mbano and Osofia to mind. I daresay one day we’d come to watch Alakada Goes To London. Toyin Abraham, among other films, recently featured in Full House, a movie directed by Ikechukwu Onyeka (Our Husband, Brother’s Keeper) and starring Mike Ezuruonye.
