Tobi Bakre, the AMVCA9 winner for best actor in a drama and a BBN alum, returns to the world of screen crime and violence in ‘The Slum King;, an African Magic Showcase series.
The series, which stars him as Edafe alongside Hermes Iyele, Kanayo O Kanayo, and Funsho Adeolu, is ready to unfold another action-packed narrative of grit, ambition, vengeance, and the corrupting influence of power. Edafe was 11 years old when he saw the heinous murder of his entire family by a merciless gang of armed thieves. Overwhelmed with guilt and trauma, Edafe morphs into Maje, the ruthless king of the slums.
The show premiers on October 8, 2023, on Africa Magic Showcase Channel 151 at 21:00 WAT.
