The year of the 40’s: 5 Nollywood Actors celebrating 40 in 2018!

They say life begins at 40; from grand celebrations to simple social media updates, these celebrities are proving that 2018 is the year of the 40’s.

This year, some of our favourite celebrities are celebrating their 40th birthday in style. From Mercy Aigbe to Omotola Jalade, and those that are yet to come, 2018 is the grand year.

Celebrities turning 40:

Mercy Aigbe:

Born on the 1st of January 1978, the actress was the first to kick off the birthday celebrations for the year. Mercy’s birthday photos came with a few controversies for the dress she wore. While the controversy was on, Mercy organized a grand birthday party and enjoyed her new age in style.

Mercy has featured in Little Drops of Happy and will be seen next in “200 Million”

Omotola Jalade:

Screen Icon, Omotola Jalade celebrated with a five day event leading to her 40th birthday.

Omotola has featured in over 70 films, including “Alter Ego” and “Tribunal” released in 2017. She has a few productions slated for release later in the year.

Omoni Oboli:

Born on the 22 April 1978, Omoni has kicked off her birthday celebration one month before it is here. The Director has taken to her Instagram page to share her expectations, as well as reminisce on her life so far.

Omoni has featured and directed Being Mrs Elliott, The First Lady,Wives on Strike and Okafor’s Law.

Dakore Egbuson:

Dakore will turn 40 on the 4th of October 1978. The actress took a long break from acting after getting married. She has kept a low profile since her return but has continued to feature in interesting productions.

Dakore has featured in “Isoken”, “Fifty”, and will be seen on Ebony Life’s “Castle & Castle”.

Stella Damasus:

Born on the 24th April 1978, Stella will be celebrating her 40th birthday this year. The actress has relocated to the United States of America and is focusing on being a YouTube Content Creator, but once in a while she features in new productions.

Her last notable production is “Two Brides and a Baby”
