One of the best films to be released in 2017 will be distributed in the US.
Nollywood 3.0, a program at the Metrograph in New York City which offers a unique experience for seeing prestigious films from exclusive premieres to rare archival print screenings, book signings and events will debut with Dare Olaitan‘s Ojukokoro.
Metrograph offers experiences for a wide spectrum of audiences, attracting diverse communities all drawn to the excitement of cinema and the magic of having a place to celebrate it. It is located at No. 7, Ludlow Street in the heart of the Lower East Side. There will be daily screenings from April 13, 2018.
Ojukokoro is the debut feature from young filmmaker, Dare Olaitan. It tells the story of an attempted robbery that goes very wrong from three contradictory points of view.
Dare Olaitan sees the NYC premiere of Ojukokoro as the next phase for Nigerian filmmakers. He said:
We can produce films that entertain international and domestic audiences and NY is our chance to show that.
Olaitan and the film’s producer, Olufemi D. Ogunsanwo will be present for the Q&A following the screening.
