Directed by Oyeniya Adegboyega (popularly known as T-Babs), 48 Hours Marriage is a December-slated release seeking to speak to anyone craving marital bliss against all odds. Produced by EXL Films and scripted by Joseph Obi, the story-line revolves around trust, betrayal, and the emotional pains often overlooked before marriage. The film looks at how an assumed happily-ever-after can crumble within hours.
In a statement by the producers (Adu Kolapo, Oleije Williams, and Hounkpatin Allowanou), they said, “48 Hours Marriage will connect with any viewer who has ever been involved in a love affair and desires a deeper understanding of conflict resolution.” They also added that, “the themes of the film are universal and timeless, and transcends religions, languages, and cultures which makes it a must-watch for everyone.”
Edited by Sulaimon Akinsaya, 48 hours Marriage stars Adediwura Adesegha (Bibi), Yemi Solade (Madam Dearest), Ronke Ojo Anthony (Iyawo Asiko), Lanre Odugbemi, Ayo Adesanya (Desperate Poor Man), Damola Olatunji (Abinibi), and Yinka Smart.
Is love all a relationship/marriage needs to survive, or will it fail in the face of betrayal, lies, and deceit? 48 Hours Marriage hopes to answer these questions before the end of the year.
