Prepare for Alexandra, a brand new thriller following the story of a wife who endures five months of suppression that were meant to destroy her. Written by Martina Efemui and produced by Freda Steffl, the film stars Ada Ameh, Vivica A. Fox, Joseph Benjamin, Wes Holland, Morgan Petersen, Glen Turner, and Amber Nicole Smiley.
Alexandra was shot and directed by Robert O. Peters, a cineaste known for 30 Days in Atlanta, A Trip to Jamaica, and Boxing Day: A Day After Christmas. Robert was the winner of the Best Director and Best Film (for Affairs of the Heart) at the Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards in 2015. Although no release date has been announced for Alexandra, it’s been scheduled to come out this year.
SYNOPSIS:
“When an innocent online meeting turns into a riveting nightmare, a woman’s fight for survival overshadows any dreams of finding love. Alexandra met her husband Kevin Williams online. She thought that life could not get any better. With promises of marriage and children, she couldn’t turn down his request for her to move to America. Soon after her arrival, Alexandra realized that her life would take a turn for the worst. Kevin’s strange behaviour leads her into the dark world of sexual human trafficking. Alexandra must decide whether she is going to fight and live, or have her voice silenced forever.”
