An exciting action-comedy is coming to the cinemas on the 1st of December, 2017. Titled The Accidental Spy, the story follows a tech-savvy bachelor who gets mixed up in a reality show that pitches him against a deadly assassin. The film promises suspense, action, and a redefinition of Nollywood.

The Accidental Spy was written and produced by Darlington Abuda, the producer of 30 Days In Atlanta, A Trip To Jamaica, and 10 Days In Sun City. The film was shot by Akpe Ododoru with locations in London, Lagos, and the Netherlands.

Brief synopsis:
“When an IT specialist gets blindsided by his cheating girlfriend his world comes crashing down. While wallowing in his sorrows, his best friends encourage him to take a trip to America to refocus. Fast forward a few weeks and Manny is settling into life as a single guy, exploring America and what it has to offer. While lying in his hotel one night, he comes across an advertisement for a reality show offering participants the chance to act out real life documented experiences for pure entertainment. He decides to sign up for the heck of it, but unfortunately for him, his first assignment takes a wrong turn and he ends up taking the place of an assassin. While dodging bullets and risking his life, Manny thinks he’s simply acting out his character for the reality show. Will he eventually figure his way through the show and save his life? or will he fall to the deadly arms of a killer?”

The Accidental Spy is a joint production between Peekaboo Global Consulting and Corporate World Entertainment, with Moses Babatope (Lunch Time Heroes, The Wedding Party) as the executive producer. The film is proudly supported by KLM, Skyteam, and Peak Milk, and the worldwide distribution will be handled by FilmOne Distribution.

Directed by Roger Russell, the film stars Ramsey Nouah (as Manny), Christine Allado (as Beverly), Miguel Nunez Jr. (as Tha Viper), EmmaOhMaGod, Ayo Makun (as John), Ali Baba Akpobome, Bucci Franklin, Thenjiwe Moseley, Rahamau Sadau, Elma Godwin, Bryan Okwara, David Jones David and a host of others.
