‘Husbands of Lagos’, ’76’ & ’93 Days’ Lead Nominees At The 7th African Oscars!

The Nollywood & African Film Critics Awards (NAFCA) has marked the 30th December, 2017, for it’s annual end of the year event. The awards, founded in 2011 and also known as the African Oscars, are designed to promote African cinema and culture globally.

Leading the nominees, Izu Ojukwu’s 76 features in 15 categories alongside Mira Niar’s Queen of Katwe (15 categories) and Steve Gukas’ 93 Days (14 categories). Among the TV Series, Frank Rajah Arase and Kabat Egbon lead nominees with Delilah and Husbands of Lagos respectively.

Scheduled to hold in Atlanta, Georgia, the 7th edition will recognize outstanding individuals whose lives have been marked by extraordinary personal and professional accomplishments. The prestigious NAFCA and The NAFCA Honors are considered the highest African film and honorary awards, with support from millions of entertainment fans.
