Get The Reali-Tea from RHOL, Episodes 4 and 5 Mashup Recap!

In the last RHOL issue, we saw a snippet that already hinted at the impending gbas gbos.

But I doubt if many of us expected it at this level that would single-handedly shake down the whole Nigerian side of the internet. In my opinion, not many times has the level of savagery in episode 4 of RHOL been experienced on a reality TV show.

So Iyabo had invited the ladies to Epe Resort to celebrate her 25th year in the film industry , with a stripper-themed opening party, private film screening, and games night scheduled. She personally invites everyone but Laura,  yet she is keeping tabs on Laura’s attendance, which is what brought on the reality TV showdown of the year.

Everyone is set to rock and roll without Laura, yet  the conversation is all about her. “When will Laura arrive?” “Faith, where is Laura?” “Have you contacted her?”  “Is she not a friend of yours?” “How come you don’t have her phone number?”

None of these surprised me as much as the fact that Mariam decided it was her day to use Paracetamol for someone else’s headache and began calling Faith a liar for not having her friend’s phone number.

She proceeded to warn Faith not to insult her intelligence.

Chioma repeats this to Faith, who responds by saying that no one can accuse her of insulting something(intelligence) that doesn’t exist.

Long pauseeeeee.

It became a bloodbath. Somebody called someone a raccoon, to which the other person replied that they were a chimpanzee calling someone a raccoon.

Long pause again.

Enters, Iyabo amidst all of these.  She accuses Faith of lying when Faith said that was exactly how the ladies bugged her at Chioma’s party about having or not having Laura’s number.

Faith tried to explain but Iyabo kept talking over her, causing Faith to lash out at her. It has been a long time coming- this bloodbath.

Iyabo had been doing a lot since day one- treaded on Faith’s clothes, whining about Faith’s decision to have a bodyguard, among many other things.

All  these, and she goes ahead branding Faith a liar during such a sensitive period thereby providing free fire to Mariam’s anti-Faith campaign.

A girl can only endure so much abuse until she snaps. Faith served it to them, hot and spicy. You had to be there!😂

***

Laura and Rommel arrive on the second day of the staycation.

Iyabo wastes no time downloading the previous day’s gist to Rommel, and he takes no time jumping on the anti-Faith bandwagon. I get that he’s still upset about how the Botox procedure went, but come on now!

What amuses me about him is how he has convinced himself that he is merely playing a game.

He goes to Tiannah and tells her how upset she is with Faith, says something completely different at the confessionals, but then sees Faith and becomes calm.

Post- RHOL-clarity, is that you?😂

Faith

Faith is living and learning, darling.

She makes mistakes and is willing to accept responsibility for her actions, but what she will not allow is anyone walking all over her.  Some of the housewives still try. Despite apologising to Iyabo for disrupting her party, they came for her during the dialect card game  accusing her of lying about her inability to speak her native tongue.

Yet, Faith stood and is still standing her ground. It has been lovely seeing her level of composure.

Rommel

Rommel will be outed soon.

Already, his karma has begun,  because when Iyabo broached the topic of the disastrous Botox party at the card game,  he  started stuttering, and Tiannah, who he feels he can win over by bad mouthing Faith told him then and there  to repeat everything she had said about Faith to her.

You can imagine how that turned out.

Iyabo

Sigh. Faith has clearly rattled Iyabo but I’m eager to see how she holds up.

Her party was a good one, though. Besides the dialect game debacle, the role-playing she had the ladies do was certainly entertaining.

Tiannah

With that silly bell she rings every time she sees something that intrigues her, Tiannah has had the most incredible vibe so far in Real Housewives of Lagos season 2. I really appreciate how she called Rommel out in everyone’s presence. Keeping it real.

Tania

Tania from the confessionals is not coming out when the ladies are present. I can’t decide what that is giving. Reserved or phoney? We need Tania to get in the ring too, ASAP.

Chioma

It’s obvious Chioma likes Faith but can’t engage her because of her loyalty to Iyabo.  We keep our fingers crossed. Also who knew Chioma had that many Nollywood bones in her? She won at the acting game Iyabo had set up.

Laura

I’m still not convinced by public perceptions of her sweetness.

Mariam

Mariam is still not over her spat with Faith. I actually feel for her, because how do you come back from all of that? Again, you just had to be there😂💀.

Side notes:

  • Tiannah’s translation of her part in the card game was totally wrong. “The snake would have a great roof, but for its head” does not translate to what Tiannah said. Thank you
  • Why is Rommel getting dragged for speaking his dialect so well? They can’t satisfy you people.
  • Faith is so real for telling Rommel to confirm that he won’t be interrupting her when she starts talking. That man has been getting on my nerves too😭

As you can see, the tea is piping hot this episode. Don’t miss episode 6 of Real Housewives of Lagos on  Showmax.

Till then, stay real!
