2016 is such a long time ago and many things along with it are long forgotten. Of the things not forgotten especially for lovers of film is that it marks the time Genevieve Nnaji took us to Netflix.
This occasion having been birthed after years of radio silence from the actress convinced us when she went dark again that something hooge is coming.
And now we have been relieved of our watchman duties; Genevieve Nnaji’s back and her new project is to co-produce the movie adaptation of I Do Not Come To You By Chance by Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani.

Come up with a better grand entrance, I will wait!
Firstly, the book, which is the author’s breakout novel and narrates the story of a young man saddled with familial responsibility, had on its own, bagged The Commonwealth Writers’ Prize (Best First Book, Africa).
Now as a movie(and with the Genevieve effect of course😌), it has made it to the exclusive 47 title- line-up at Toronto International Film Festival. Genevieve Nnaji for a reason.
With Chinny Carter credited as the one co-producing this film and the guiding hands of Ishaya Bako and Dapo Awojide( D.O.P), new blood like Paul Nnadiekwe, and OGs like Blossom Chukwujekwu, Jennifer Eliogu, Sambasa Nzeribe, Beverly Osu will be soul-switching with the people of I Do Not Come To You By Chance.
Have you read the book? Are you excited it is getting adapted or not?
