Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife Films is gearing up to showcase two thrilling new movies, ‘Iyawo Mi’ and ‘Her Perfect Life,’ during a special screening on Sunday, September 24th in Lagos.
The venue for this exclusive screening is the glamorous EbonyLife Place located on Victoria Island, Lagos, adding an air of elegance and anticipation to the event.
Although these films have sparked a lot of excitement among fans and movie lovers, it’s still unclear if they will be shown in theaters or go directly to streaming services.
The first of these productions, ‘Her Perfect Life,’ boasts a star-studded cast including Pearl Thusi, Joseph Benjamin, Omawunmi Dada, Uzo Osimpka, Christian Paul, and Mary Lazarus. The storyline revolves around Onajite Johnson-Ibrahim, a 39-year-old woman who, despite seemingly having it all – a successful career, a thriving business, a loving spouse, and two wonderful children, contemplates ending her life. This poignant narrative delves into the complexities of modern life and the hidden struggles people often face.
On the other hand, ‘Iyawo Mi’ (My Wife) tells a gripping tale of Kunle, who returns home one fateful night to a horrifying sight. His wife, Eniola, appears to have descended into madness, exhibiting disturbing behavior, and posing a threat to their children and neighbors. Kunle takes matters into his own hands, leading to tragic consequences. This production features stellar performances by Adedimeji Lateef, Bolaji Ogunmola, Segun Arinze, and Jude Chukwuka.
