Niyi Akinmolayan and Mo Abudu have collaborated on a new film, “Chief Daddy”, another comedy set for release this December.
“Chief Daddy” tells the story of billionaire industrialist Chief Beecroft, a flamboyant benefactor to a large extended family of relatives, household staff and assorted mistresses. Chief lives large, like there’s no tomorrow, until the day he dies suddenly and the ‘bullion van’ stops! What’s in his will and who gets all that money?”
Chief Daddy is set to reunite both old and new acts in the film industry. With buzz already building up online, “Chief Daddy” is set to feature Linda Ejiofor as Chief’s unofficial PA with a secret key to his affections.
Shaffy Bello plays the role of the hidden second wife, who is ready to take her rightful place.
Ini Edo plays the role of the mistress and secret baby mama, who needs to secure her cashflow.
“Chief Daddy” stars Bisola Aiyeola, Funke Akindele, Zainab Balogun, Lepacious Bose, Dakore Egbuson, Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana, Mawuli Gavor, Kate Henshaw, Ayo Lijadu, MI, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Beverly Naya, Nedu, Uti Nwachukwu, Taiwo Obileye, Chioma ‘chigurl’ Omeruah, Rachel Oniga, Beverly Osu, Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwor and Joke Silva
The script is written by Bode Asiyanbi. “Chief Daddy” is produced by Temidayo Abudu and Queen Martins. DOP is Muhammad Atta. Mo Abudu serves as Executive producer.
This will be Mo Abudu’s third collaboration with director, Niyi Akinmolayan, after “The Wedding Party 2” and the series “Castle & Castle”.
