Nollywood’s beloved leading man, Daniel Etim-Effiong, takes a bold leap from in front of the camera to the director’s chair with his highly anticipated feature debut, The Herd, premiering nationwide on October 17, 2025.
The film — co-produced by FilmOne Studios, ToriTori Films, Serendipity HHC, and Airscape — marks a defining chapter in Etim-Effiong’s creative journey. Known for his charm and emotional depth on screen, the actor now showcases his vision as a storyteller, cementing his place among Nollywood’s next generation of filmmakers.
In the build-up to its release, The Herd has already made waves across the industry with an exclusive pre-launch dinner organized in partnership with Filmhouse Group, That Good Media, Nigerian International Film Summit (NIFS), and Legend Hotel. The star-studded premiere saw appearances from Kanayo O. Kanayo, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman, Kate Henshaw, Kunle Remi, and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, making it one of 2025’s most talked-about Nollywood events.
