Wouldn’t you love the experience of going into the cinema to watch a Nigerian film that celebrates Christmas in one way or the other? Hollywood has loaded us with Black American films that celebrate Christmas, and despite the number of Nollywood films that concentrate on story-lines of re-unions, we have not seen any that has gathered a family to celebrate Christmas. And isn’t Christmas about family?
Sola Sobowale is in this one, opposite Zack Orji and we are getting all the shivers already.
‘Christmas is Coming’ is the story of Henri Atta, who has a string of ill-luck after being transformed to a “Lady” by her mischievous flat mates; Avia and Nene a few days to Christmas when she has a big pitch.
She has a hard time at the pitch no thanks to her colleague Lola Makinde. She unintentionally falls in love with her boss; Koko Williams and quickly has to deal with its immediate consequences.
The film features Zack Orji, Ufuoma McDermott, Mary Lazarus, Chioma Chukwukah, Deyemi Okanlawon and Sola Sobowale.
