Directed by Uduak-Obong Patrick (Everything In Between – TV Series), Obsession is a compelling drama jointly produced by ROK Studios and Judith Audu Productions. Written by Rita Onwurah (Stranger In My Bed, Naomi’s Dilemma), the synopsis tells of how two happy families are about to be torn apart; how a once popular actor deals with a worrisome entanglement plus the reality of his fading prime; and how a wife, craving love and attention, involves herself in a liaison which proves to be bigger than she can chew.
Producer and co-actor, Judith Audu-Foght, said on Instagram, “I feel so blessed to have put together a group of amazing, dedicated and passionate team for Obsession… I feel so privileged to have worked with two of my best actors from Africa… y’all will love this one, trust me.” I dare say we already do, especially with the storytelling witnessed in Just Not Married, a multi award winner screened in over nine festivals across the world. This is the third feature film from the filmmaker (and actress) known for her roles in Alpha Mom, Not Right, and Out Of Fire among others.
Shot by David Wyte, Obsession introduces Seth Patrick (as Colin) alongside stars like Yemi Blaq (as Bayo Davis), Judith Audu (as Tricia Davis), Femi Branch (as Tega Umukoro), Odera Olivia Orji (as Ene Umukoro), Nifemi Lawal (as Junior Umukoro), Ifu Ennada (as Aret the nanny), Oludara Egerton-Shyngle (as Simi), Mawuli Gavor (as Kamar), and Uche Obunse (as Boma). Stay tuned for the release date and official trailer.
