Nigeria’s first legal procedural series, Castle & Castle, has been renewed for a second season and it would be airing exclusively on Netflix.
Castle & Castle Is a legal drama set in a successful Lagos law firm run by a married couple, Professor Tega Castle (played by Richard Mofe-Damijo) and his wife Remi Castle S.A.N (played by Dakore Egbuson-Akande).
A former law professor, ‘Tega’ is passionate about human rights. However, as the years have gone by and the nature of the firm has changed, he has had to fight extra-hard to get such cases.
‘Remi’ is a beautiful, brilliant woman who loves her husband, but they have different legal interests – she prefers clients that have deep pockets and pay massive retainers.
Castle and Castle (the law firm) struggles to stay afloat while the Remi and Tega Castle pursue different cases based on what they think is best for the company.
The drama series tells of how they both deal with challenges that come with being in the same industry. Their marriage is put to the test as a host of family issues crop up and affect their work.
Will the marriage survive the business or will it succumb to the pressures of their work environment?
Dubbed Africa’s first legal series, Castle & Castle is directed by Kenneth Gyang, Tope Oshin and Niyi Akinmolayan. Isioma Osaje and Temidayo Abudu produce.
