Amazon Prime Users & MTN Subscriber To Flex as Amazon Prime Teams Up With MTN To Deliver A Mobile Version of the Streaming App.

It’s prime time for Amazon Prime users who are also MTN subscribers as Amazon Prime launches its mobile version, created in collaboration with one of the leading telecommunications companies in Nigeria, MTN.

What this spells for this demographic is:  a 30-day free trial exclusive to the Prime video app to test the new feature out plus the standard access to the 1500 TV shows and 9000 plus movies they are entitled to as Amazon Prime subscribers. 

Again (courtesy of MTN), the subscribers will get a 2.5G data for video and a mega-subsidized subscription rate of #800 monthly.

MTN  also stated that a few select of its customer will enjoy a special offer where they can access the Prime video, this time on up to 3 devices(tablets, mobiles,TVs) for three months after which their subscription will be #2300 worth of airtime monthly. 

Sequel to the news, MTN Nigeria’s Chief Digital Officer, A’isha Umar Mumuni shared her excitement saying:

“We are excited to offer Prime Video subscriptions to millions of Nigerians who will be entertained on their own terms – where and when they want it.

 Video-on-demand has become a major part of our lives and this launch offer is important to make every customer’s journey to their desired content more accessible and affordable. The Prime Video platform boasts of many titles, with over 150 Nollywood titles and several Nigerian Originals currently in the pipeline. We are confident this relationship will bring value to both our customers and the Nigerian movie industry” she added.

The newly launched mobile version is a single-device, mobile-only subscription and  will be riding on MTN’s critically acclaimed 5G.
