Big Brother Naija is set to make a grand return for its landmark 10th season, promising even more excitement and drama for fans across Nigeria. As anticipation builds for a fresh lineup of housemates, viewers can also look forward to the upcoming BBNaija Season 9 Reunion, which will revisit the memorable moments and unresolved tensions from the last “No Loose Guard” season. With both the reunion and a brand-new season on the horizon, BBNaija is gearing up to deliver a double dose of entertainment that will keep audiences captivated. Here are five things you need to know about the new season:
5. It’s the First In-Person Audition Since the Pandemic
For the first time since 2020, BBNaija is reigniting the energy of in-person auditions. This pivotal shift echoes the fervor of pre-pandemic seasons, where aspiring housemates queued for hours, showcasing their personalities and dreams firsthand. In Season 5 (Lockdown, 2020), all auditions were virtual, a necessity that continued through Seasons 6 (Shine Ya Eye, 2021), 7 (Level Up, 2022), 8 (All Stars, 2023), and 9 (Pepper Dem Reunion & Pepper Dem, 2019). The return to physical auditions for Season 10 signifies a reconnection with the raw, unfiltered energy that defined the early years of BBNaija, potentially leading to even more dynamic and memorable personalities entering the house.
4. This Is the Landmark 10th Season
This is the tenth season of the biggest reality TV franchise in Africa. BBNaija continues to lead conversations across Nigeria and Africa. Each season has delivered iconic moments, from unforgettable rivalries to heartwarming alliances, drawing massive viewership. Season 10 aims to celebrate this legacy while ushering in a new era of drama, surprises, and unforgettable personalities.
3. Auditions Are Completely Free
Just like in previous seasons, the auditions for Season 10 are entirely free. This commitment to accessibility ensures that talent from all walks of life have the opportunity to step into the BBNaija spotlight.
2. BBNaija Is A Life Changer
The impact BBNaija has on the lives of participants is undeniable. It is best known for launching young Nigerians into stardom. Numerous successful careers, especially in entertainment, started from Big Brother Naija; think Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Tobi Bakare, Bisola Aiyeola, Neo Akpofure, Mike Edwards, and many more. It is one of the most trusted routes to a better life for many Nigerian youth as it gives a platform to showcase talent, personality and more.
1. What Fresh Twists Will Biggie Unveil?
The show is renowned for its innovative and engaging twists that keep both housemates and viewers on their toes. Over the years, we’ve witnessed game-changing introductions such as having two houses operating simultaneously, the mysterious presence of Ninjas, the strategic deployment of fake housemates, the dynamic of competing in pairs, and even a talkative parrot that influenced alliances. As we approach the landmark 10th season, we look forward to the new and exciting elements “Biggie” will introduce to shake up the game.
