4. The writer Biodun Stephen: “The Visit” is her most memorable project. She shot the impressive story in fourteen days. It features Bayray Mcnwizu, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Blossom Chukwujekwu and Femi Jacobs, a four man and highly impressive cast. The Visit was released late 2015 but enjoyed a string of nominations at the AMVCA, for the lead actors. The film is very impressive for Biodun’s writing. She has proven to be quite the power house romance writer. Earlier this year, she released “Tiwa’s Baggage”, her directorial debut which takes inspiration from the stereotypical behavior from society to single mothers. “Tiwa’s Baggage” had its baggage with costuming but Biodun is impressive as a writer, and her dialogue is always memorable. She got inspiration for this project from her tailor, and we cannot wait to have an inside experience on the life of someone close to Biodun Stephen.
3. Bolanle Ninalowo and Mary Njoku: Call him the new leading man, Bolanle Ninalowo is impressive and is on a roll. From Emem Isong , to Mary Njoku, some of the best producers are after this actor and we see why. Bolanle did a good job in “Husbands of Lagos” and most recently, in “Date Night”. He has quite an enjoyable range as an actor, and it does not hurt that he is also good looking and a smart talker. He is paired with Mary Njoku and he stars as Jobe. He spent three days at the bus park trying to get into character. Quite the dedication! For Mary Njoku, she has been active in iRoko productions and this should welcome the impressive actress back to the cinemas. Mary is a good actress and if not for anything, we will be seeing “Picture Perfect” for her.
2. Bisola Aiyeola’s first film since leaving the BBN house: Typically, we would have thought that Bisola will be on every movie location based on the talent she displayed at the Big Brother house, her star is just beginning to shine in the movie industry. The actress has been an interesting cast in ‘Skinny Girl in Transit” and took the lead role in “Ovy’s Voice”, she is a good actress and in “Picture Perfect” we cannot wait to see what she does with the role. This should boost marketing if she promises to show up at the cinema; we know a lot of fans will show up to see the movie.
1. The storyline: In “Picture Perfect,” a posh tailor Kumbi, meets a notorious area boy, Jobe, when her car breaks down in his hood. He saves her from his fellow thugs, watches over her car all night and is literally her knight in shining armor. Unfortunately, their brief friendship turns sour after she offers him just two thousand naira, a payment he considers cheap for all the stress he went through for her. Sounds different, right? We will be checking this out.
“Picture Perfect” is written and produced by Biodun Stephen.
Tope Alake directs the film which will be out on the 7th of July.
