I usually like to stick to what I know best which is Nollywood movie reviews (still learning that though) and not dabble into other stuff, but as 2015 ends and as far as I am concerned, the fashion look book with our various Nollywood celebrities was epic! I would love to give you guys a low down of the pretty ladies who brought the heat and caught my eye on the red carpet this year.
Rita Dominic
Rita Dominic slays and owns the red carpet no matter the event. Be it an award ceremony, movie premiere, film festival or just chilling with her industry pals (can I just move into your wardrobe, Lady)! She’s earns my top spot as Nollywood most stylish actress.
Osas Ighodalo
Osas is a red carpet darling and killer, with a figure to die for. She is an every ready muse to a couple of fashion brands and is just drop dead gorgeous at all times. Hasn’t really nailed it for me as it relates to the hair department (guess it’s the natural thing that’s going around in the industry)! Anyhoo, she is always slaying on the red carpet and I would be totally foolish to have this list and not have her here.
Genevieve Nnaji
Nollywood sweetheart (not sure if this still stands) Genevieve Nnaji can do no wrong. From her sultry eyes, her nail art and her always on point hairstyles, Ms Nnaji is a darling when it comes to the red carpet showing us always, what she is truly made off.
Adesuwa Etomi
Asides’ being a pretty face, Adesuwa has the talent to back it up. After studying theatre in the UK and returning back to her home country, the talented actress added fashion to her number of checks and she is simply dazzling on the red carpet.
Omotola Jalade Ekeinde
Omotola’s never misses the chance to place her gorgeous curves on display. Showing us that we can all have fun no matter our size. The gorgeous mother of 4 has been turning heads with her fashion sense and became a muse for the fashion brand Iconic-Invanity.
Uru Eke
The pretty actress takes on bold/vibrant colours with no qualms. Asides her acting, Ms Eke is known for make-up, styling and maybe, just maybe dancing kurukere. Uru is a fan of her hair, I just have to add, I don’t think I have come across that picture where her hair isn’t fabulous or on-point, so whatever you are doing, keep doing you girlie.
Dakore Akande
According to VR by Mobos fashion brand, “Dakore is confident, such a timeless beauty, with style that cuts across all ages and I couldn’t agree with them more. The sweet mother of 2 has been able to balance her career with motherhood and we love her even more for coming through in the fashion department.
Beverly Naya
Beverly is such a cutie that can seem oblivious to her surrounding but don’t mess with her on the red carpet. Putting on a sultry, fierce and take me to mama look all at once. Her style for 2015 was show stopping and I am looking forward to more come 2016.
Nse Ikpe-Etim
Best Actress winner and present nominee for the same category is a stunner, choosing to keep it simple yet classy. Nse is a lover of the colour black, well it’s easy, but she has never failed to bring a twist to her look.
Linda Ejiofor
Tinsel star and upcoming actress Linda Ejiofor is another cutie and to my mind sometimes underrated. She maintains a wonderful fashion sense that has got us noticing and earns her spot on this list.
Omoni Oboli
Omoni is simply stunning and has this wild eye look that makes her look innocent. The producer, director, actress and mother of 3 good looking boys has had her fair share of misses, but who can forget her look at the London Premiere of her movie ‘First Lady’ as well as ‘Fifty’! You go girl.
Kemi Lala Akindoju
Kemi caught my attention officially at the 2014 AFRIFF in Calabar wearing an April By Kunbi inspiration. For this year, she pulled all stops, never missing a beat with her outfit, makeup and bold red lips.
Lilian Esoro
I get this feeling that Lilian would rather stay away from the spot light, however when she is on it, she is nailing it with her edgy style and accessories. It was a struggle to get red carpet looks for this actress, maybe I didn’t search hard enough, but with the little I found, she is a stunner even when she isn’t even trying.
Joselyn Dumas
Her shape might look a bit too much, but the pretty faced actress has long learnt how to dress her curves and she is doing a great job at it. She was well put together on the red carpet in 2015 and is the only foreigner making my list.
Toni Tones
Not sure if she’s a full-time actress but she has featured in a couple of series and movies and earns a spot on this list. She had her misses though, but nothing beats her outfit to the 2015 Future Awards.

While there may be many more fashionable actresses, these are the ones who made my list!
