Hot on the heels of his recent cinematic offering, Orisa, Femi Adebayo has announced the advent of yet another Southwestern blockbuster, Jagun Jagun, which had now been acquired by Netflix and set to debut on August 10, 2023.
The Southern period drama follows the story of a warlord who feels threatened by a determined young warrior who seeks only power and the love of a strong woman.
Starring household names like Femi Adebayo, İbrahim Yekini Itele, Fathia Balogun, Debo Adebayo, Lateef Adedimeji, Bukunmi Oluwashina, Muyiwa Ademola, Odunlade Adekola, Adebayo Salami, and Yinka Quadri, this movie is set to continue in the footsteps of indigenous Yoruba productions that preceded it and hopefully top them all.
It is directed by Tope Adebayo and Adebayo Tijani while Femi Adebayo and Adebayo Tijani are credited for the writing.
The official runtime has been confirmed to be two hours and 13 minutes.
