‘What Lies Within’, ‘Behind The Wheels’ & ‘Akuko Uwa’ Lead Winners At BON 2017!

The 9th edition of Best of Nollywood Awards (BON) held on the 16th of December, 2017, at the Cultural Centre, Abeokuta, Ogun State. Hosted by the Ogun State government, BON is an annual film event honouring outstanding achievements in the Nigerian movie industry. The event saw Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Ali Nuhu, and Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen receive the the 2017 Special Recognition awards.

Stanlee Ohikhuare’s Behind the Wheels also made it to the top of three categories. These include awards for the Best Social Message, Best Supporting Actor (Kelechi Udegbe), and the Best Special Effects. Vanessa Nzediegwu’s What Lies Within did better in four categories including Director of the Year and Best Editing.
