Wells Entertainment in association with Iceslide Films (ATM) has released the trailer for Crushed, a drama/thriller shot and set to premiere in Edo State. The red-carpet event, scheduled for 5pm, will hold at Kada Cinema on the 25th of February and the screening will kick off at 7pm. Produced and directed by Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen (Invasion 1867, On Bended Knees), the film will hit cinemas nationwide on the 2nd of March.
According to Lancelot, “This is not just one of those films you would joke with… It’s intense…(It’s) bold and beautiful”. The filmmaker is popular for featuring unexplored aspects of the African experience, among which include tribalism, witchcraft, crime, poverty, religion, and folk beliefs. In 2017, he was specially recognized alongside Ali Nuhu and Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde at the Best of Nollywood Awards (BON).
Crushed, following the synopsis, tells of a woman who starts seeing a man from her past as people think she’s going insane. The lines between reality and the subconscious become blurred and her nightmare becomes her waking life. The film is a collaboration with ROK Studios, shot by Ejim Fortune Kezi, and starring Seun Akindele, Sambasa Nzeribe, Michael Isokpan, Lilian Esoro, Efosa Efef Iyamu, and Matilda Obaseki.
