‘Ayamma’, ‘Lotanna’, ’76’ & ‘Slow Country’ Lead Nominees At The 12th NEA Awards!

The organizers of the Nigerian Entertainment Awards have released the list of this year’s nominees. The annual event, earlier scheduled to hold in August, will hold on the 25th of November in New York. The NEA is a celebration of accomplishment in African entertainment. The event focuses on promoting the image and rich culture of Nigeria in the continent and around the globe.

Among the film/TV nominees, Chris Eneaji’s Ayamma appears in five categories, raking in the highest amount of nominations. Lotanna, the 3rd Golden Movie Awards star-film, follows closely and appears in four categories. The category for the Best Picture is a competitive assortment of blockbusters and cinema high-earners. Funke Akindele is the only actress with more than one nomination – the Best Actress (A Trip To Jamaica) and the Best Lead Role In TV (Jenifa’s Diary).
